Anyone tried running windows on a mac???

I recently read the news about apple releasing a beta download so that you can run windows xp on a mac and was wondering if anyone has tested this out? I am kinda skeptical that it is taxing on the computer and would make certain programs run slow. If it works good, it is a major selling point for apple and cause for me to get one since i have alot of windows based software.

i doubt it would make certain programs slow. so don't worry about getting it. it will work fine. if there was a problem someone would have posted it by now IMO

I'm curious how it would actually function on a PC. I'd try it myself but my ol' Mini's G4 based.

Yeah i was thinking of getting one because it would be very versatile if it runs both operating systems effectively with no hiccups. You could have all the benefits of a mac with the convenience of windows. I hope that it will run all windows programs effective, because i will be running autocad, which can be a demanding program.
