Planning on building a laptop? Good luck...I've heard they can be a b1tch to build. I don't know of any, I even doubt there are any, since no one builds laptops.

actually i'm looking at building a barebone... if you do decide to build one, i would appreciate some information on how it went please...

anyways i usually just froogle (www.froogle.com) "barebone notebook" or "pentium m barebone notebook" and it comes up with anywhere from 20-1000 answers...

or www.avadirect.com has a good selection of barebones... just click parts on the top navigation bar, the one with desktops, notebooks, and such...

Some people do it....since most people don't do it from scratch they find a laptop already with the motherboard mounted etc...and it is extremely easy from there.

There are quite a few barebone manufacturers. My favorites are Asus and MSI. You'll find some Clevo, ECS, Twinhead, and Polywell - just to name a few. Drop me an email on what you looking for.

YEa i was planning on having one coming with a motherboard already mounted..

I will most likely be going with a widescreen 14 or 15 inch i think. What im trying to figure out is waht graphics card to use though because i will be using it to carry around some at college and will need to have a decent battery life.

Any recommendations?
