I have XPS gen 2 with nvidia 6800 ultra and I got the monitor with true life and a resolution of 1900x 1200. I know theres a VGA cable for computer monitors and that I can play on my laptop through another monitor but can I play Xbox 360 through my laptop monitor? And would if it can play it would it run at 720p?
Any answers would be appreciated.
your laptop would need to have some sort of video input, which it probably doesn't come with, you'd need to get a tv tuner card and run the signal from the xbox to the card

I don't have a Xbox 360, but I can feel safe saying that it uses composite cables, but I can also tell you that that, even with the tuner card, input will be very slow. For even a decently fast computer, it still takes 1 - 2 seconds to see a movement you put into the Xbox to reach your screen. I did this a year(ish) ago with an N64 and my HP Media Center 2004, and it has a pentium 4 (with HT) and 512 MB of RAM, and the video quality was terrible, and really slow. I reccomend you just use you TV or use a portable DVD player.
EDIT: responding to your last post, I'm pretty sure it's compatable, just so long as you can plug it in. Gaming systems are designed to work with as many home TVs as possible, so if the composite cables go in to your moniter, you've got a good chance of being able to use it.
