Just bought a new Acer laptop...

And I am having problems with playing DVDs. When I try to play a DVD it will play fine for a while, but then all of the sudden it just freezes and I have to press ctrl+alt+delete in order to exit windows media player. I think the problem might be the dvd rom drive, but I am not sure. Why would it just stop and freeze like that? I am sort of pissed because I bought this laptop to mainly watch DVDs. Please any help would be nice.

1. if there is a problem with the DVD drive, then it affect every DVD not just DVD movies.

2. Try to install latest drivers.

3. Is ur processor fan starts after u play a DVD. May problem with ur MB. DVD need very high bandwidth.

4. Check fr spywares n virus which may degrade ur system's overall performance, DVD needs large bandwidth.

5. Use Different DVD movies or DVD player.
