Upgrading Presario 1246

Please could someone help me. I've been in touch with hp to find out if I can upgrade hardrive and cd rom on my Presario 1246.

I've got 4.3 gb hardrive and would like to upgade but what is maximum size I can go to and is it a standard 2.5 drive.

I would also like to upgrade my cd rom to dvd rom or even better a dvd writer is this possible?

HP said they wouldn't advise it!!!

Also are ther any other upgrades I could do to make this a better machine?

can you poste the specs up? you can buy a cheap dvd rom drive for pretty cheap price and it should be compatible with your computer.

You can buy the stuff, but will your computer handle a DVD burner? It can tak a processor. What do you have and what version of windows are you running?
