row of keys not working

i have a dell latitude cpx and a row of diagonal keys 8, i, k, l do not work. any suggestions?

try a different external keyboard, this will eliminate any potential settings screw ups

Wow, that just happened to me the other day. Neither me nor my stepdad (an IT consultant that also deals with hardware) could figure out what was wrong. In the end, I had to order a replacement keyboard for about $50 and replace the disfunctional board.
