Athlon XP 1800/motherbaord wanting to upgrade cpu

What cpu can I install in my motherboard? This was purchased about a year ago...the bios has 133/133 for fsb. Is there anyway to update this? Also, can I install a XP 3000, even though it may not fully take advantage of the FSB?? Any help would be great, thanks....and nice to meet everyone..new member here..

Can you get the make/model of the mobo? Grab CPUz (http://www.cpuid.com) and look under the Mainboard tab

Ah i'm all to familiar with that board ... prolly the most common low-end AMD board around

Here's all the info you'll need on that board: http://www.ecsusa.com/products/k7s5a.html

For the ram, you have a DIMM limit of 512MB for a total of 1GB and the CPU...you should be able to get any AthlonXP into there although they will not run at full performance as the board is limited to 266FSB
