CPU Core temp

My core temps read between 18 degrees celicus and 22 degrees celcius on idle and about 34 degrees celicus each on load. Is this a pretty decent temperature for my overclocked cpu? I'm using Intel Thermal Analysis Tool.

But i'm worried because PC wizard claims my cpu is 51 degrees celicus at idle and the core temps are 35 degrees each. Which one is telling me the truth?

Easy Tune 5 tells me my cpu temp is hovering around 30.

WHAT DO I BELIEVE?!?!?GAH!

18 and 22c seem very low. I would not be surprised to see those temps on a very good water cooled system, but on an air cooled system 32c to 38c would be normal, with 48c to 51c under load. Anything higher than 60c and you are having problems.

The one that shows the lower temps is made exclusively for the intel board.. naturally you'd trust it more than the 3rd party apps. I would still install a couple other temp apps and see if they're all conclusive.

speed fan refuses to give me my core temperatures, but its giving me my cpu temperature at 33, which is similar to that of Easy Tune 5(Gigabyte's probe program similar to Asus Probe)

i'm exactly the same as you, between 18-22 idle and about 32-33 on load with TAT. my as5 isn't even completely broken in yet. it does seem stupidly cool. speedfan also reads the temps almost the exact same, about ~2 degrees cooler though. what is your cooler?

i'd say the e6x50 are just cooler chips if ours are doing about the same...

I'm still on the stock heatsink. Which is why i'm so confused...i'm expecting this thing to hit 40 something on load.

strange. and you're OC'd? maybe you just have a freak?

my z28 was rated 300hp at the flywheel (flywheel is usually about 10% more than what hits the rear wheels), and i dyno'd my car stock and it hit 323hp at the wheels, about 23% more than what it was rated. maybe your processor is similar in a cooling sense and just runs very cool for an unknown reason.

Who knows...guess i'll push it a little further then

mine got up to 46C after leaving it at 100% for a few minutes. it didn't get hotter. but it idles around 19-20C for me. they say 24/49 with a zalman, so i'd say with the arctic cooler pro i'm doing good. and for stock, yeah, you're obviously doing good.

i would assume the e6550 is similar in temps, but you could do a google and maybe find a similar benchmark.

I have the E6850 and it's oc'd to 3.6 at idle my core temps are 11c and 12c . Under a load I'm seeing 32c and 34c. Those are measured with core temp and Everest Ultimate has the same temps. I don't trust PC Wizard to be correct.Try Everest Home it's free and see what you get on temps.
