AMD vs INTEL for gaming

Hello!



I heard a few friend of mine said that AMD's are better than INTEL when it comes to gaming. Is it true or just myth?..ehe.. Coz i'm leaning more towards intel but this thing keep bugging me..

Unfortunately, Intel are better.

Why is that unfortunate, you live in a free country, you can choose to get the better one.



And if you think that AMD will go out of buisness because of this, that is very unlikely.

You're friend is wrong, AMD used to be better at gaming back in 2005, but now Intel is doing a lot better. At the time of writing, the only reason I would recommend an AMD CPU would be if you already have an AMD Motherboard, and don't want to buy a new one.

Intel is better, although AMD is good for budget builders and AMD lovers

The reason for the unfortunately is because I am a die hard AMD fan, and when I didn't have enough for an Intel build back in October.

amd used to be the best for gaming, at least until the pentium D came out (i think they started winning then...) then the core2duos came outta left field and pwnd peoples faces.

The Athlon 64's were still better then the Pentium D's, Intel really pulled ahead with the Core 2 Duo's.

At stock they perform on par

But E6550 overclocks better and consume less power
