script

Is there anywhere i can get a script or an example thereof by which you may populate supporting tables (ACCESS) with initial values rather than enter them all in every time it is restarted?

odd secenario yes, but it is so that the development stage can change but the tables for the final project will be uniform with the desired information.

Thanks

Are you sure you want to populate tables using scripts???

What about having a (more) table(s) in Access and then download/open that one to populate?

it is just for the initial population of the tables which are supporting tables to populate lists, thus the information upon initialization/upload is static. This is a script that will be run once. But it will save on time later to have it now..

any ideas?

thanks

What about attaching an XML tag. You say data is static so changes are not so much of a nuissance. And then, many dbs can create XML query output.

what is and how does this work/incoporate into a script to populate the tables?

It is to initially populate the tables with info for list boxes and then to reset it after a testing phase..

thanks again!
