Hello,
I am running Windows XP Professional on my PC. I have a web application that I'm developing locally on my machine. This applcation makes inserts and updates to my Access 2000 database. This functionality works fine when I upload the files to my hosting service and run it off of the web. However, when I try to test this locally, the database doesn't get updated. Locally, data is being pulled from the database and displayed on the webpage fine. However, when I try to use forms to make inserts or updates, the information doesn't get posted to my local database at all.
Another problem I'm having with my Access databse and web application when testing locally happens when I open up the dabase and make changes to it. After I've opened up the database, when I then try to view a dynamic web page that accesses this database through localhost, I get an error saying "Object Required". I have to close the database and do an iisreset in order to get rid of this error message.
Any ideas on how to resolve either of these two problems would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
