My comp is heating up...

Hey guys, I downloaded Speedfan to check my temps, take a look at this screen:

What is "Core" and what do you think it is that is so hot?

Thanks for any comments

I wouldn't trust speed fan, being honest.

Hi ramodkk,

Try cleaning your system out with a compressed air can. Afterwards, take off your heatsink and fan and clear off your thermal pad if it exists. Then apply a new fresh coding of Arctic Silver 5 on the CPU. Only use a pea sized dot, when you apply any paste. More information on applying arctic silver 5 can be found here:

Also check your system BIOS for a PC Health Screen or PC Monitor and post up your voltages from there. Your 12V is almost out of specs, and this could also be producing heat to your CPU.

I'm pretty sure Core speed would be your video card, and 56C isn't very hot for a video card.

Right now Im not on my comp, so I can't download any of those programs you guys mentiones.

And yeah I was thinking "Core" was my GPU. Tomorrow I'll install my new case and I'll clean everything off, then I'll let you guys know how things are then.
