howwatt psu do i need for my build?


What do you guys recommend on the this build? i am unsure what power supply is sufficient for this. is 600watts good enough?



this is my current specs:

Chasis: Ferrari Case

Video card: msi 256mb 8600gt sli

CPU: 5000+ x2 AMD Black Edition

HDD: SATA 250 Western Digital

Memory: Ballistix 4 GB @ 800mhz

DVD DRIVE: LITEON BURNER LIGHTSCRIBE.

MOBO: Asus M2N-E SLI nForce

600W is more than necessary, a solid 450W or even 400W would be fine.

I'd also recommend the Corsair VX450/VX550 as great units for the price.

Keep in mind as well, that SLI'd 8600GTs will generally be inferior performance wise to a single, superior card such as an 8800GT.

If you dont have the money for a 8800GT a single 3850 is hard to beat for 179 bucks compaired to 8600GT in SLI
