Comp Turning Off

My computer keeps turning itself off and i thought it was due to overheating. So i went out and i bought a new processor fan and it is still turning itself off. I really have no clue what the problem is. Could it be a bad power supply??

Are you getting any error messages? Any blue screens?

It could be your ram or your video card or even your PSU. But it could even be your OS.

Is there any more information you can give us? Is it doing it while playing games or some other intensive operation? Or is it doing it when idling?

Help us help you!

well basically when i'm idling. it usually happens when i have 3 or more programs running. Also it happens when i leave my computer for an hour or so and come back than immediatly open a program it will just shut off.

I don't think it's your ram because the computer would just freeze or when booting it would just keep rebboting and rebboting and your graphics would make ur pc freeze or u would see lines on ur screen if it's not the psu once u get a new one then it's the motherboard
