Fan Controller. Please Help

Ok, I've recently looked into buying a fan controller because I wanted experiement with, Kind of a little project. Ok Im looking to buy another case fan, I only have one, so it would be pointless. Due to the clogging of my case, (Video Card, Wires, MicroATX Size), My temps have recently gone up. Im thinking of getting a big 8CM case fan so it will cool down. Im really not good with fan sizes, it said that it can support a big 8cm fan at the front. But at the same time, I don't want it to be loud. That when I thought of the idea of a fan controller. If I could invest a little money in one, then it shouldn't be a problem bringing down the RPM during Idle times, and increasing it during game play. I wouldn't really like to spend anymore than $35 on this project. Once, I get it working, I probably go in and rewire everything

My Case-

I thought these would be pretty good fan controllers for my situation. I would like them to be black hence the color of my case.

SYBA CL-RM-35FD 3.5" Front Panel Illuminated Fan Controller -

SILVERSTONE FP33-B Controller, Panel - Retail

Can any find some 8cm fans?

Thanks

Chris

I have this, not only is it functional it's also very pretty.
Here are the details: http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/ac...00_detail.html
It has 3 changeable fascias - Black, White and Silver. Note that the fan connectors are 3 pin, NOT molex.

As for case fans, they tend to measure them in mm not cm and 80mm (8cm) is the smallest you can get I believe.

Some are molex only, some are 3pin only and some have both like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811999123 (you have to look at the pictures to see)

I have an mATX case. Temperature at the front of the case is about 29C and 31C at the rear. That's with a 120mm fan at the rear and 80mm at the front. 120mm is running full speed whilst the 80mm is running at 1650rpm to keep the noise down. It will get hotter than that by a few degrees during gameplay but the temperatures are exactly the same as my last case which was a supertower with 9 fans all running at full rpm!

As with all fans, airflow is measured in CFM, the higher the better and the noise level is measured in dBA, the lower the better.
Don't expect too much of a difference in temperature from an 80mm fan though. You might see up to 3C at the most.

What's your cable management like? You want to keep them as out of the way as possible to aid air flow.

I have a IDE hard drive, so one thing is that huge ribbon cable running to the motherboard, also, I have mATX mid tower case, which is very small but it is nice. So less aire flow makes more heat. I only have one case fan. I have quiet a few cables. But im going to manage that when I get the fan controller.

You could use a round IDE cable.

Im really just focused on getting a 8cm fan. It is what my case supports under my HDD and FDD bays. Click on the link my case on my first post. I did a little research and Im pretty sure it is a 90mm fan
