I am Bilding a computer
AM2 6000+ (3.0GHZ) Dule core
640M 8800GTS
500G SATA HDD 4 now later i will buy 2 more 500G an do a raid drive
Motherboard G-B M57SLI-S4
3G of DDR2-800 OCZ systim elite
T.V card
1 SATA DVD drive
would a 500W power suply be enough or should i go more if so how much more

on the case with power suply only about $200 australian or so
the computer i have it priced out at $1200 without case

Which case? In general, the PSUs which come with cases are usually poor quality, although there are a few exceptions (Antec, for example, are generally good).
A few good options here in Australia for that sort of system:
Antec Earthwatts 500W
Corsair VX450
Corsair VX550
That leaves ~$100 for a separate case.
