dual channel RAM

does RAM automatically run in dual channel or do you have to set it up in your mobo that way when you install it? should you run it in dual channel?

RAM will run in Dual Channel, if you have it in the correct slots on the MOBO, normally, the two slots are the same colour.

Ah right, Didn't see that, well, you see it has yellow and red slots?

Well, If you have say;

A 512MB stick in the first red slot, and another 512MB in the second red slot, they'd be running in dual channel, same with the yellow slots

I'm not too sure on the difference, as in how to explain it, but it is a lot better to run it in dual channel!
