Anyway to "clone" my harddrive

Hey I'm sending my HDD to RMA and I have a spare one of the similar size. I REALLY don't want to reinstall my windows and all the software.. Is there a way I could just transfer everything from my old HDD to a new one? I mean operating system, all the installed stuff..just file by file. Thanks.

norton ghost wll do that, it will burn the image to dvd then you can put the other hdd in and load the dvd, job done.

i've used acronis trueimage and that program works great as well - boot the computer off the disk, clone the hdd and save it in another hdd or burn on dvd - pop in the new hdd, boot off the disk, load the cloned hdd file and bam - you're back on

HDClone will do the trick. Helped me upgrade my laptop drive with no hitches.

With the free version you can copy an IDE drive entirely to another of same size or larger. The excess on the destination drive will be unpartitioned.
