Externa HD problem

I bought a rocketfish external enclosure and a WD 250 GB hdd. I put it together and plugged it in and now the hard drive isn't in "my computer" I can not locate the external hard drive. Where would i find it? Thanks

probably it's not fully formatted, go to disk management, look for it there, right-click it and format
