Laptop Hard drive - urgh

okay. I have a compaq v6210us laptop with 80gb hard drive space. 74 total gb's for the c:. Ever since a week ago, I had about 20gb's of free space on the c:. Now, after cleaning and program deletion, I had 30 gigs. But ever since I created my recovery disks, the space has decreased about 8gb's for no apparent reason.

I backed them up on dvd's, so nothing I kno of should decrease my hard drive space. When I look for large recent files, Searches come up with new results. When I use everest to check the space, It says the same thing as windows does. I am getting worried, as about 8 gigs of space have just disappeared. I do use ccleaner 7 pass nsa, could this hog up 8 gigs? Please help as I don't know how much longer I can last with this.

Also, please explain your answers and solutions as I am only 13. It's as If my computer is creating invisible huge files that nothing can detect because yesterday, I had 25gb's free, and now it's 22.8. I have also used windows disk cleanup thing, and it can not find anything wrong.... Please help.
