SLI Ready Ram?


Hmm, seems like occasionally i'll see ram with that "SLI Ready" logo.

What does this mean? How is this ram different?

When I built my system I bought Corsair 'SLI ready' ram...but to tell you the truth I dont know why... I have no intentions of getting SLI... good question though...

Does running SLI require more ram performance or something? Maybe it is better to handle that?

Seems to be the only thing i can come up with...

SLI Ready RAM just means it has an EPP programmed into it. All that means is there are high performance settings programmed into it. These settings are above those that the RAM is advertised at and include a voltage setting (ie. PC6400-4-4-4-12 might be set to run at PC6400 3-4-4-8 @ 2.1V)
