Question about a eSATA/USB 2.0 Drive

On the motherboard I'm going to buy, there are 4 SATA connectors on it. Since my current HDD isn't very big (80GB) I decided to pick up a external drive.

-Will all this stuff work together?
-Why are the SATA ports on the mobo inside? Will I have to take the side off to connect it?
-Will this transfer files fast?
-Will I be able to put my games on it, and run it from the desktop with a shortcut?
-Will this drive work with Vista?

Is there any reason you don't want to get a second internal hard drive?

With another internal HDD won't it appear in my computer and you can just access it there?

Once you have the second drive installed you have a few options for seeing it partitioned and formatted to be available for use. Some like myself prefer a 3rd party program for performing that task like GParted here. That's a free Linux drive tool where only a few work with MS type partitions.

The fast and easy method is simply to use the Disk Management tool already included in Windows. With XP and Vista that option is found in the Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Storage section there. You access internal and external drives by going to my computer. Yes an internal isn't as easy to move to another PC and if that's what you mean and if that's the case, external is the way to go.
