Memory Speed.

Hi guys, I have a Crucial RAM that is PC2-8000 DDR2-1000

but when I checked cpu-z, it isn't running at that speed. Is it possible to bump up the speed?

my mobo is gigabyte 965p-ds3

thanks

Yes, you can change it in the BIOS. Adjust the memory multiplier value, it should tell you the RAM speed that you will get. I don't think you can get it to exactly DDR-1000 though.

What data is CPU-Z showing the speed of your RAM running at? Under the "Memory" tab, what does the "Frequency" megahertz speed read?
