faster 2gig Ram or upgrade Vista for 4gig?

Hi guys, I have 2Gig of 667Mhz Ram in my new system and I am thinking of upgrading already. My flight sim FSX is running a bit slow!!, I was looking at 800Mhz as this is the fastest my system will handle will this make a big difference? my other option is to upgrade vista to 64bit and go with 4gig of Ram which would be the better option? Thanks.

i dont think you would notice all that differance from 667 to 800Mhz but i could be wrong.

i would just buy an extra 2Gb of ram if you game on Vista.

Upgrading to Vista definately won't make your Flight Simulator run any faster. I believe it would make it run even more sluggish since Windows Vista 64-bit is a memory hog. Windows XP 32-bit requires less resources and utilizes a maximum of 3.25 to 3.5 gigabytes of Random Access Memory.

Have you tried lowering the graphic settings on your game to see if it runs any better?

I second the opinion also already given. I don't think PC2-6400 memory would show much of an improvement over PC2-5300. I think you would just be burning money replacing your current chips with PC2-6400 memory.

Just buy 2 more gigabytes of the same brand of PC2-5300 if you want to upgrade to more memory. But I would toggle with the graphics settings of your game first and see if that works.
