new computer for gaming

I would like to either buy another computer or build one myself and sell the one I have now. I would rather buy one. I would like to get one that will handle the upcoming games like bioshock and crysis and others. I would like to have an 8800 video card but that might be out of the question. I would like to keep the price around 800 or 900 dollars, I know that is probably kinda low. What would you all suggest? If I can build a better system cheaper, I might think about building it myself. And I don't need a monitor, speakers, mouse or a keyboard.

Also, If I tried to sell the pc in my sig, what would think I could get for it without the monitor? I think I paid around 800 new for it a little over a year ago.

for 8-9 hundred with an 8800 you'd probably have to go for building it yourself

this computer: http://configure.us.dell.com/dellsto...=bdcwyfz&s=bsd

Q6600, 2 gigs ddr2, 80gb hard drive, vista for $609

and then add a 8800gts and you're set for ~$900.

that should spank all listed games with ease.

forgot to mention you need to add the q6600, and then go to the monitor tab and remove the monitor. that's how you get the price to $609.

But can the dell powersupply handle the 8800GTS? Also, the computer will probably have some heat issues as Dells dont really have great ventilation.
