250G HD shows to be 137G

I just finished putting together a computer. Asus P5B mobo,Intel2.13,GeForce7600 and a WD 250 gig sataHD. I installed the hd unformatted and when I put a Win2000 disk in ,it recognized that i had an unformatted drive in. I opted to let Win2000 format it in that an install disk did not come with my drive. I now show on 'c' drive properties ,that my drive is

137,427,943,424 bytes in size.Whats up with that? Should I reformat? PaulO

You've hit the 137GB barrier, Windows 2000 and early versions of XP suffered from the fact it couldn't detect more than 137GB, there are fixes for XP available.

Install Windows 2000 SP/4 and the rest of the drive should show up in Disk Management, if it does then partition the rest of the drive and format. If not check this out.
