I'm planning to upgrade to a larger hard drive around 200 - 300 gigs
Also i need this thing to be quite because the one right now i can hear noises when i access files. Does anyone have an idea which hard drive is right for me?
If you hear noises with like a 10GB or less HDD thats normal (the older types) if its newer, you have a failingHDD. or going to fail one. All HDDs are usually quiet nowsadays... get a Western Digital or Seagate

Most Seagates seem to be fairly quiet. I have an 80GB Seagate that is next to silent, and a 20GB one that seriously IS silent! I also can't complain about my Western Digital 160GB...

I have a WD SE16 250Gb 16Mb cache, bought for $80. It is silent, I haven't had any problems out of it. It is fast, too.

I have a 320 GB WD hard drive, which I can't hear over the sound of my power supply fan. So yeah, it doesn't add any more noise.

Samsung drives are the most quiet from what I've tried. (Out of Maxter, Seagate, WD, Fujitsu).
