Hi - just got my copy of Win Vista and planning to build the PC. Question about HDD.
I see there are many small SATA drives at 80Gb or so. Is it worth using this as te OS drive and then keeping my 200Gb Maxtor SATA for data. Or should I simply use my existing drive?
Thanks
Simon
faster/smaller drive for os. or you can split a drive into two partition and install the os onto the smaller one.

I prefer to use a WD Raptor HD for my OS/Programs and a second, Larger hard drive for all my pictures, music, movies, drivers etc.
It speeds up the OS and Programs slightly, as the Raptor has faster seek and write times than the slower, Larger hard drives. It also makes it much easier to reinstall windows and programs. I don't have to worry about backing everything up whenever I reinstall windows/linux or whatever. Just copy my bookmarks over and format.
