So Imma give my sister my computer and I wanna build one but I need help gettin the best deal.

So its gonna be approximatly 680.00. I'm not gonna be gaming much so is this good and compatible and can u guys help me get a better one at the same or lower price?



Is there anything else that I need other than a case/sound card?

What's your budget?, your system looks good but i'd rather get a corsair 520w if you needed modular if no just a plain ultra x-finity 500watts would of 39.99$ would do fine, and why no buy a secondary burner instead of the dvd reader

Personally, not fancy AMD CPU at the monent.

I would rather get intel E6550 + GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R

I don't feel it is necessary to get the second DVD Drive. But in case you want it, I will rather get one with SATA as well.

This is the first computer I'm planning to build so I'm a bit confused. Will that power supply be able to connect to the mobo/2 drives/and HD?



These are the power supplies connectors:



1x 20-Pin Main Power

1x 6-Pin AUX (Xeon) Power

1x 4-Pin 12V (P4)

6x 4-Pin Peripheral

2x SATA Power

1x Floppy







Don't I need a 24 Pin Main Connector?



and one of the drive's interface is IDE, is that a problem?

Agreed, the intel build would be better

The intel build is good but why the E6550, when you can get the E6750 for just 5$ more
