400gb freecom drive

Just bought a freecom 400gb beast of a hdd and it doesnt have a fan so that it will be quieter apprrantley.

Could this be bad for overheating etc? or will it be fine? its in a metal case! just wondering!

its probably sorrounded by a heatsink...i wouldnt say it would overheat.

Any idea how fast it is? I suspect the heat all depends on how fast it is processing things. Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't know a whole lot about HDD's

If its in an aluminum case, it will dissipate the heat just fine. Just dont run it at full capacity all the time (dont know how you would) and it will be fine.

That's pretty cool, though it's too bad it can't be internal. But external isn't bad, portable hard drive.
