2100 to 3200


if i have pc 2100 and i add a pc3200 will it just run at 2100?? or not work at all...

There's almost always a catch, but it SHOULD just run at PC2100. However, I've seen PC's that were PC100 and PC133 RAM didn't work in them

You really shouldn't have any problems, I was just getting some issues I have seen in the past. But I've even seen RAM that didn't work in motherboards even though it was at the same speed...

I don't know about an HP motherboard, but manufacturers have a list of tested memory for systems. Maybe there's a list posted somewhere for that board...
