Is it true WD ships their notebook hard drives without a jumper? I just purchased one but couldn't install it because it didn't come with the jumper. The computer geek (at best buy where I purchased it)insisted notebook hard drives don't come with jumpers (the seagate drive I purchased a short while ago came with a jumper). Additionally, no one carries the jumper so I had to return the drive.

Did you try plugging it in and see what happens?

If it was going to be the only drive in the computer I would because the jumper is removed for the master setting, but I was going to use it as the slave. was wondering if all WD notebook drives were shipped without a jumper because if thats the case I will take it off the list. Not sure how far I could go and still return the drive. I am on a rock in the middle of the ocean and noone (retail stores)carries jumpers. I am sure no tech shop will give me one unless I pay them to install the drive.
