WD Passport 120GB...FAT32?

I was reading up on the Western Digital Passport I got and I saw a few people say it was FAT32. Odd, but sure enough, I checked and it was... Can anyone explain why? Is there some reason I should of left it FAT32? I went ahead and converted it to NTFS because I do a lot with large files(video editing and such) I've had 20GB captures before!

So yeah, I was just wondering if anyone knew why it came FAT32...

I think it is for compatability (apple/win98).

Funny thing is, the manual states it's only compatable with 2000/XP... Which I'm quite sure it'd work with 98 if you have the correct drivers, but still...

NTFS + windows 98?

I thought they were supposed to be 2000/XP/Mac compatible, I just threw 98 out there because it probably would work there too with FAT formating.
