My drive just quit

I just opened my drive in an attempt to put a plexiglass covering on it.

I discovered this would not work so I got all the dust out with a mini air blower and then i put the top on

Now it wont work. I would love to no how to fix it because i spent about $100 on it....

I did not hit anything, i dont no what happened???

Dude, you NEVER open a hard drive. Any spec of dust, dirt, or anything like that can totally ruin it. Blowing air on it probably didn't help either.

So I've heard. I know I've opened some dying drives in the past and they were totally dead after having them open.

lol. Well, there's a $100 lesson. Harddrives are made in hermetically sealed environments for a reason. You should have posted here before you tried it. A piece of dust or a human hair can crash the drive permanently. You just made yourself a paperweight.

Yeah man, they have those little stickers that say "IF THIS STICKER IS BROKEN THE WARRANTY IS VOID" for a reason...

Im just curious, but why would you wanna put plexiglas on it when its already got a nice solid cover?
