if your motherboard has SATA ports than yes, it will work. And SATA2 is supposably faster than SATA but you can't tell all that well.

Seagate, Maxtor, Western Digital are all good brands.

SATAII (or SATA2) is backwards compatible with SATA.

My suggestions:
Make sure to get 7200RPM, as well as 16MB of cache. SATAII is also worth it, even if your motherboard doesn't support it, because you can use SATAII for your next computer

Just get a HDD running at 7200RPMs plus, and 16mb cache. I would recommend this one: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...9837&CatId=139
Or this one for $25 more.

Well, does you motherboard support SATAII? It's also labeled as SATA 3gb/s btw. It doesnt make a huge difference, but its a nice thing to have.
