ok, i have a supsision that 3 of my HD's are bad, it cant be, i know the orignal HD, that in my GX110 is shot, it says RAW in My Computer, how do i see if the other's are shot? i get a BSOD, with Unmountable_Boot_Volume, i get this right in the middle of Windows, when it's loading, can any help?
Just an FYI, if your hd's are indeed dead; I just wanted to let you know that mine are still for sale. Most likly at a lower price.

EDIT: do you know of a HD tester? 2 see if the drives bad?

Afraid not, but have you tried throwing them in another system and see if that works.
You could also try chkdisk or what ever it is. I've never used it though.

There are plenty of hard drive checking tools, but all of them run from Windows. You would need to put the hdd as a slave in another computer.

When you say its gets a BSOD in the middle of loading, have you installed windows on that harddrive on that computer? or was it a harddrive from another comptuer that had windows already installed? You need to installl windows on the drive while it's in the PC.
Also if you really want you can use this to check if your harddrive is OK, but it doesn't sound like anything is wrong,

Get it on a working computer and make it bootable via CD.
I have been told it is only suppoded to work on Maxtor HD's but it at least works on some WD ahrddrives to, since i have used it on one before.

ok, well it's a Maxtor, i ran checkdisk, does that make a log? i will post it in here, and yes, im pretty sure that it had windows on the HD's, well of course my orignal HD would have Windows install, i still get the BSOD with the original HD?
EDIT: isnt that 4 file transfers? and can i use MaxBlast 4 for Windows?

nevermind guys, i got the problem fixed

, the 128MB stick i had in there was bad

, thats why i shouldnt mix RAM
