Help can't regognise 1GB of ram


My machine has two lots of (2x1GB) so it equals 4Gb however when I boot the machine ot only reads 3GB anyone got any Ideas as how to fix this problem?

??? why don`t ya just say 4x1GB



Have you tried updating your BIOS on your motherboard ?



EDIT: check this forum out ! http://forums.amd.com/lofiversion/index.php/t52417.html It seems you need XP64 too use 4GB RAM

you dont update your BIOS, unless it's extremely needed.

??? You should keep you PC upto date inc BIOS ! for fixes, etc..

i agree keeping computer uptodate on bios and even windows updates will help with a lot of issues its always good to check and see whats up to date and not try going to radarsync.com they will scan for free and tell you what updates you are missing but it costs to download the updates but u can find them for free after it scans usually
