My friend says he has a hard drive that is different from any others he has seen. The input where the PATA cable would go seems reversed. The HDD has pinholes and it looks as though a cable with pins should go into it . This seemed very weird to me because I have never seen this before. Can anyone tell me if they have seen this before and could tell me what kind of HDD this is?
Got a brand name and model number, or a pic?

Well, i went and looked at it and I am pretty sure it is a SCSI drive, it is connected to a card on a PCI slot by a PATA-looking cable and I have looked around at SCSI drive pics and it looks like them. I was wondering cause i've never seen a SCSI drive.

That's more than likely the case then

They used to be the $hit before Ultra100 IDE or SATA drives. Some people really swear by them for server duty.
