Installing a WD WD2500KS

I'm about to replace my IDE ATA drive with a SATA WD2500KS.

I'm a bit confused about how to do this as I've heard that you need to install a driver from a floppy before installing XP. Is this true for this drive?

Do I need to download anything from their site before I do the installation?

Thanks

Alan

my only question is how would you install a driver on the drive without an operating system

If you had a boot program that flashed the driver onto it, then why not?

I don't think you need to install any drivers onto it. I haven't heard of that WD HDD needing any firmware updates. You can check if it does though.
