Moving Da Raid

Now most of the users have RAID, and they all use RAID controller. Alright lets just cut the crap. If you already have a RAID and your switching motherboards
will your raid still work?(when u re-raid it and set the options to NOT DELTE DATA)
I think you all know what i mean, but here are examples.

Silicon Image Sil 3112A to Silicon Image 3114R (Same brand, different chip version)
Nvidia Nforce 3 250 to Nvidia Nforce 4 Sli (Same brand , diffrerent chip)

Intel to Nforce (different brand)

Silicon Image 3114R to Nvidia(different brand)

ETC
Yeah you get the picture.

P.S when i say raid i mean STRIPING

That was the whole point of the thread other wise the raid would be safe.

You asked about switching motherboards, not switching RAID controllers. I did a quick experiment with some Promise controllers and I did lose the data but there may be some where you can get away with it if one controller is based on the other or something
