my motherboard type is ASUS P4S8x-x
and i wanna upgrade my ram what type of ram should i buy and
is the size of ram depend on the video card or just motherboard
thx
How much do you want? The board can hold up to 3gb's. It supports DDR200 (PC1600), DDR266 (PC2100), DDR333 (PC2700), and DDR400 (PC3200). The video card dont affect your ram in any way either i dont think.
edit- what cpu do you have? P4? Celeron?

good mobo, i would go with 1gb of total ram for good preformance. 2gb of ram for best preformance. But any thing over 2 gb of ram is a waste of money. i would go with CORSAIR 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 333 (PC 2700) ECC Registered
CORSAIR 512MB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 333 (PC 2700) ECC Registered

Whoa thats the first time ive seen anyone say a SIS based boar was good and suggest that 2GB of RAM was needed for the best performance

Its only saving grace is that ASUS made it and they tend to do a good job on their P4 boards. The SiS chipset kills it tho
