I have all the drivers installed from the disc that came with the SATA card. Hard drive is plugged in, I can hear it spin, etc. Everything is connected, PCMCIA card slot detects my SATA controller. Problem is, I don't know how to configure the enclosure/SATA card/drive to see it under the hard disk drives category in windows. Directions don't say. One thing...this drive is not brand new-it is one of two twins that used to be a part of a RAID 0 array, and there is still half of the data on the drive from the array; it was never wiped clean. That may affect it's function, but I'm not sure. Anyone have any ideas?

maybe install the drivers on your boot drive and then install your sata drive.

Right click on My Computer > Manage > Disk Management. You should be able to see your external hard drive there. Right click on it and delete the partition and format it.
