is this hooked up wrong?

ok so my hd is hooked up and everything works but at the bottom right corner a usb connection pops up and it asks if i want to "safely remove hardware" and it being my hd i dont think thats smart to do

i have it hooked into the SATA spot; the kind is below

this is just a guess, my RAID 0 array has the option greyed out; but in your system properties -> device manager, right click the drive and look for the tab where it mentions optimise for performance or quick removal, if you select optimise for performance the option should disappear. Im not 100% sure on this, just a guess

The "Safely Remove Hardware" option is default in Windows XP for SATA drives. It won't hurt anything as long as you don't accidentally click to remove it.
