I need advice.

O.K This summer, I'm buying a PC3200 RAM stick.

Which one shold I buy?

Memory Would equal to

256MB 504MB RAM

512MB 760MB RAM

1GB 1.248GB RAM

2GB I'm not spending $400 on it

Uh .... 504MB, 760MB and 1.248GB sticks dont exist (unless you pull them from servers )

Buy whatever size you think you need and then adjust the performance

512MB are usually the most cost-performance-effective for overall value (1 GB and 2GB sticks are very expensive.)

My video card takes 8MB of RAM from my memory. That's why the odd numbers. I might buy a 128, 256 or a 512 MB video card with that

O.K 512 MB RAM is my target, now which manufacturer?

Kingston

Crucial

Corvair

Assuming that your pc is ready for pc-3200 I would suggest 512-1gb. As for brand I would not conceren myself to much as any of the ones you mentioned are comparable.

Yes. 512MB would add up to 760MB RAM PC3200. The only fact thought is that my 256MB RAM I currently have has no company. Can this be true or it's just not as seen of the other ones

That would usually mean generic memory....or maybe OEM memory. It should all work fine.
