Is it Bad for the Hard Drive

Is it bad for the hard drice to be download and removing files, if you do it a lot in a week. I have probly done about 8 GBs of downloading and Removing in this week. Can that harm my HDD in anyway? Thanks

do u mean that downloading and storing files at ur Hd and then removing at constant rate or something.well if thats the case you are not harming ur HD at all.

The worst thing could happen to a hard drive is having a large number of turn on / turn off cycles. At every power on / off there's a huge stress on the bearings and head mechanism. This includes the hdd turn off in power saving settings too. So it's cheaper to save the hard drive instead of the power...
