DVD no sound...???

Any kind soul out there, please help me...

I just bought a DXLL desktop (with DVD-ROM) last week...

When i tried to play a DVD, the picture is ok but there is no sound...

I've tried a few DVD and the outcome is the same...

Surprisingly VCD and other audio CD are ok...

Does this means that my DVD-ROM is not working...???

Or i just need some audio codecs...???

Kindly advise...

What software are you using to play the DVD? I think it may be an audio codec issue.

sounds like a codec issue to me as well....i would google for ace mega codec pack professional and install that its 50 Mbs i believe and has every codec you will ever need

are there no prompts for audio errors when you play the file?
