DVD burner problems

I have a lite-on dvd all format except dual layer. It has always worked great. Last night it would not reconize a dvd +R disk so I tried another and another. it will still recongize a cdr . So I downloaded the most recent firmware but that did not help. Is there anything else I should try before buying a new one?

The only thing that would fix that would be to buy a new one.

Only thing you can try is removing it from your device manager, when it reloads the drivers it may work, if not, get a new one!
