Vista Rocovery disk doesn't read...

I was thinking of doing a clean install because I have some serious video card driver issues. The problem is, my dvdrw drive won't read the recovery disk. I also have an old mce disk from my previous operating system, and that won't read either.



The strange thing is, all my dvds and cds will load except these two. Nothing shows up in my computer and no noise seems to be coming from the drive.

are you trying to boot to the cd and format... make sure your bios are set up to read the Cd rom before the hardrive.

I set the boot priority to cdrom then hardisk, still, windows loads and nothing happens

The vista disk I am trying to use is the express upgrade disk, could this be a reason my drive is not reading it? Anyone have any ideas?
