dvd won't burn

hello

i bought nec dvd recorder and it doesn't burn correctly.it won't burn bigger files, and it's extremely slow(10 minutes to erase 700 mb rw!).i only managed to burn 4 pictures ant that's it. i attached logs from nero and alcohol, in which i don't understand a word, so if anyone can help, i would very much appreciate it.

Are you using an 80 wire cable?

i saw a few part in there where it was talking about the dvd drive being in high compatibility mode, does that mean you have no driver for it? i know compatibility mode slows things down on some programs, idk maybe this too

also in the alcohol file i saw something talking about your computer having only 256MB of ram? thats frightfully low, for XP at least. burning a dvd on that much ram would cause your computer to find another form of memory, namely the hard drive, which is sooooo many times slower. upgrade your ram, even with only a 256MB 15$ stick
