'Clone' a CD/DVD

I got a sweet deal on The Sims Deluxe Edition (for my wife, I swear!) .. but the discs are pretty scuffed up.. it still installed fine, but I'm worried about the CD1 being so scratched up and wonder how long it'll last.. so I want to 'Clone' the main disc, since it's needed to play the game.



Anyone know of some freeware that can do this?

but thats not freeware you get a free trial but you have to buy it after like 30 dys

Freeware or trial, doesn't matter... as long as it doesn't limit me to half of a disc

Yeah, I've used most of those products before.



I used CloneCD, which isn't a very helpful program, and it couldn't handle the task of copying a protected game to a new disc =/



I'm going to give it a couple of more shots, hopefully it's user error as I don't normally do this haha



If nothing else, I'll live with scratched discs and hope it doesn't come to having to replace them.

do you want to create an iso or just copy the cd. If its just copy a cd there are millions of free apps to do that, if you want to create an iso, a quick google search of "create ISO freeware" gave me about 10-20 hits

ive used the slysoft products, and never had a prob, i know for dvds though u need anydvd to get passed some of the encrytions

create an image file of the cd using Alcohol 120%

Then burn it to a new CD.
